Over the last ten months, I’ve seen big changes in the members of our team, and I’ve learned and grown significantly as a leader.

Team-focused Services

We define the team as any group of individuals who share a mutual set of goals and are expected to work together to achieve it. Teams can be described as temporary or long-standing. They can be geographically co-located or virtual. They may have a team leader or be self-directed. The teams we work with are either culturally-diverse in their makeup or they are expected to be successful within a culturally-diverse context.

You probably know from your experience that when working with teams, the whole is always different than the sum of its parts. Our approach includes addressing this fact, as well as addressing the individual and organizational influences which always impact the team. Personalized coaching with some or all members, attention to the team’s communication and process, as well as its alignment with the larger organization, are all relevant options. We model, teach and transfer the necessary skills and behaviors that the group may be missing to experience the results it desires. And it is often exhilarating for at team to do just that.

SERVICES

Building High Performing Teams

We work with teams in culturally-diverse environments that want to improve their effectiveness and sustain it. We can work with your team over a set period of time (depending on objectives) – side-by-side with its leader – to achieve pre-established objectives and help your team discover its strengths and its obstacles. Results are measured.

A team that strives to become high-performing may already have the basics accomplished: purpose, roles and individual and collective accountability for results. These essentials might be described as the “what.” With skilled facilitation, teams can often identify what part of their framework is needed: structures, processes or tools. Concurrently attending to the “how” of the team often breathes life and passion into the team. Fostering a constructive team process and developing the habits of highly effective teams allows the group to create a team culture that is able to competently manage any challenge that comes its way.

Getting Teams Back on Track

Perhaps you know of a team that seems off-track or whose individuals seem out of synch with each other. Whenever there is disharmony in the team, there are bottom-line inefficiencies, loss of productivity and longer learning cycles. Often these teams do not reach their desired performance metrics.

We work with groups of people to become sustainable, goal-achieving teams. Along with the team’s leader and members, we work together to determine what is and isn’t working, and then bring the team into congruency with each other and alignment with the broader organization. From gaining consensus on the team’s purpose, roles and accountabilities to building “safety” to achieve honest conversations that resolve difficult situations, our process will help the team identify and clarify next steps. All the while, we create a new experience for the team, which allows for an increase in group trust and collaboration between members.

Team Training and Development

What does your team need to know more about right now? We provide customized training for groups and teams who want to improve their leadership, teamwork, performance, communication and process. Click on the link below to get the descriptions of training topics that will help us begin a conversation about what kind of training is right for your team.

Whether you are looking for a one-hour presentation, a week-long workshop or series of workshops, we will begin with a conversation about the issue and discuss whether the training is the right solution for your situation. If so, together we establish the value and the success metrics. Then we design a learning experience for you to achieve it.

Facilitation

There are circumstances when a team’s leader is not the right person to lead an important meeting, strategy session, team challenge or team event. Perhaps it is because the leader is perceived as not neutral on the subject, or perhaps it is because the leader wants to be able to fully participate in the experience, instead of lead it.

In these situations, we can facilitate your session from beginning to end, as a neutral third party. We are experienced in many types of facilitation methods and best practices and can expertly choose a method that matches the outcome you desire, taking into account the learning preferences of your team members.
